OUR NEXT MONTHLY POST MEETING
Post 43 will be holding our next monthly meeting at 1900 on Tuesday, October 15 in person at the Post Building and on Zoom. We expect to have a guest speaker, as usual. Reports will follow by the Financial Officer, Adjutant, Commander, and other Officers and Chairs. Please come early and enjoy a snack and a drink with your fellow Legion colleagues.
Other Current Activities
On Monday, November 11 at 11:00 AM, the annual Jackson Veterans Day Ceremony will take place on the town square. Patriotic music will be followed by welcoming speeches and remarks highlighting the origin and meaning of Veterans Day. The Jackson Hole American Legion Post 43 Honor Guard will then p[rovide the traditional salute followed by the playing of Taps.
On Saturday and Sunday, May 25 - 26 our Post placed American Flags on the graves of veterans in the local cemeteries in Jackson and Wilson. On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, we held a ceremony on the Jackson Town Square at 10 AM, followed by Honor Guard salutes at local cemeteries.
